Any artist or art enthusiast knows that the manner in which a painting is lit can make a huge difference in its presentation; they also know that to properly light a piece of art means finding the tricky balance between bright lights that oversaturate the painting, even degrading it over time, and dim lights that render the audience incapable of fully appreciating the artist’s creation.
Tru-Slim® Picture Lights are a new form of high quality LED art lights designed by Cocoweb using Picture-Perfect™ LED technology (innovative technology similar to the award winning breakthrough) and as an added bonus, innovations in LED nodes have dramatically reduced the amount of energy required to power these lights and can shine for up to 50,000 hours of continuous use (resulting in an approximately 20 year long lifespan).
The 12-inch model has six LED nodes set evenly apart in a simple, unassuming thin frame that emit steady light at a color temperature of 2700K (on the light spectrum, 2700K is equivalent to the soft, warm yellow-white light produced by the rising sun in the early morning) and a brightness of up to 210 lumens without producing any negative byproducts such as UV radiation or heat. Depending on the specific needs of a museum or gallery, these LED lights can be mounted on the wall or directly inserted into the frame of a painting. The 12-inch Tru-Slim® Plug-in Art Light is available in a variety of finishes including antique brass, black, black with brass accents, brushed gold, chrome, mahogany bronze, oil rubbed bronze, satin nickel, and white.
