A proper art gallery can be discerned by the quality of its art lighting: as the entrance-way into the realm of the aesthetic, an art gallery must be met by picture lighting that not only accents artwork, but remains steadfast at all times. The highest museum-grade quality picture lights must always have a reliable source of power that does not depend on fallible batteries or fickle power cords. It is with such concerns in mind that Cocoweb has crafted its Hardwire line of Tru-Slim Picture Lights. These fine art lights were designed with the slimmest shade possible in order to offer a superior degree of art accentuation, which they deliver upon with the warm, natural illumination of their Picture Perfect™ LED art lighting systems.
Minimal Design Keeps Art in Focus
The Hardwire Tru-Slim is modeled with a shade that is as slim as possible, measuring at a mere 7/8 of an inch thick. Such slender craftsmanship ensures that artwork remains as the center of the display, with no garishly decorated lamp to distract from it. Indeed, this model features a satin nickel finish, a modern metallic silver coat best suited to contemporary movements. And to suit artwork of this aesthetic, the shade measures 43 inches across, Cocoweb's largest offering and therefore suited to illuminating the largest pieces of any collection.
Experience Art Made Picture-Perfect™
In order to perfect the form of art, the Hardwire Tru-Slim uses 30 low voltage LED nodes to shine light at a warm 2700K color temperature, a white-yellow hue with the feeling of the sun in the early morning. In fact, this soft light achieves a Color Rendering Index of 90, relaxing greens and blues into greater calm and sharpening reds and yellows into richer focus. Additionally, the light from these LEDs is ultraviolet-free, cleaner than fluorescent light and poses no threat of fading or discoloration to paintings. The LED nodes also operate at low heat, keeping paintings safe from the dangers of drying and cracking they face under halogen lights.
The Direct Power of Hardwire Lighting
As a direct wired picture light, the Hardwire Tru-Slim is a light fixture crafted around reliability: being able to thread directly into circuits of junction boxes, this light offers a constant and dependable source of art illumination. Where battery operated picture lights require constant renewal and AC lights leave behind a disruptive cord, the Hardwire Tru-Slim promises a direct connection to electricity without cumbersome interruption, enabling an artistic display of museum-level quality. In point of fact, the Hardwire's LEDs can last up to 50,000 hours, providing a wholly consolidated source of illumination for one's display for the next 20 years. Minor technical installation is required, though such a process is made easy by the mounting retainer on the left arm of the light and the input wires on the right.
Energy Conservation for the Sake of Nature
In service to both art and nature, the Hardwire Tru-Slim's LED nodes run as efficiently as possible, consuming only 15 watts of electricity. Such energy usage is nearly an 80% decrease when compared to incandescent bulbs operating at a similar luminance. Furthermore, LEDs represent the forefront of contemporary lighting in that they require no mercury to function, sparing the natural world of poisonous waste upon disposal.
