Description
Fall 2022 I visited Canyonlands National Park, just outside of Moab, Utah for the first time.
Millions of people visit Canyonlands National Park in southeastern Utah each year, but the crowds were sparse during my visit in November.
Mesa Arch is one of the most popular photo sites and rightfully so because it's stunning, but I found the less popular Orange Cliffs as awe-inspiring as Mesa Arch.
The ancient sandstone walls of this natural wonder are painted with a palette of vivid earthy hues - reds and rustic oranges fuse together harmoniously to create a tapestry of colors that tell the story of time itself.
Time stands still here and the view beyond is nothing short of breathtaking - the endless expanse of the canyon stretches out before you, a myriad of distant peaks and steep valleys disappearing off into the horizon.
Dawn or dusk, the Orange Cliffs invites you to ponder the mysteries of the universe and the interconnectedness of all things. It offers a moment of calm reflection, a chance to reconnect with nature and find peace in the chaos of the world around us.
Canyonlands' Orange Cliffs and Mesa Arch remain a testament to the enduring beauty of the natural world, a place where time stands still and the spirit soars free.
Mine did!
I hope you enjoy the photo and perhaps it will sit on your wall some day!
