Description
After an autumn snow storm, a large bull elk defends his harem of cows in Moraine Park:
The snowstorm swept through Rocky Mountain National Park, the landscape was transformed—golden grasses dusted with a delicate layer of snow and the soft hush of winter beginning to settle in.
Framed by the snowy ridgelines, a massive bull stood defiantly in the open, his antlers—thick, towering, and battle-worn—gleamed against the frosted backdrop as he patrolled his harem of cows clustered nearby.
