Description
Elk in Snow Storm, Grand Teton National Park, by Ruby Hour Photo Art ~ Marcela Herdova
In the midst of a swirling snowstorm, an elk stands resilient against the elements, its dark form emerging through the veil of white. Snowflakes cling to its thick winter coat, softening its outline and adding a quiet elegance to its powerful frame. The wind carries flurries across the open meadow, blurring the distant line of pines and the looming silhouettes of the Teton Range. Despite the storm’s intensity, the elk remains calm and steady, its breath rising in gentle clouds into the cold air. In this raw and evocative moment, the wilderness reveals both its harshness and its beauty — a testament to the strength and grace of wildlife enduring winter in Grand Teton National Park.
Print Options
Prints mounted on Aluminom Dibond offer a long-lasting, gallery-ready piece. The photographs are printed on a matte paper which reduces reflections (using Fuji Crystal Archive DP II paper) and then mounted on Aluminum Dibond (so not infused on metal). Aluminum Dibond is a 0.11 in. (3mm) thick composite material with three layers. Two white-coated aluminum plates enclose a black polyethylene core. Viewed from the sides, the material appears black. Although extremely robust, Aluminum Dibond has a low weight, meaning it is also perfect for large-format pieces. You photo print is laminated with a UV and dust protective thin film and mounted on the Aluminum Dibond.
Prints mounted on Aluminum Dibond backing arrive ready to hang with aluminum rails attached to the back for easy installation out of the box.
