I remember driving past the Mojave National Preserve for the first time thinking "I wonder what all exists out there.". Shortly after we got settled in Southern California I did a google search for sand dunes hoping to find some close by - Kelso was the closest. This became a place that I made a point to visit every year we lived in Southern California. I took this photo shortly after a rain storm had passed. Then watched in awe as the wind that created the dunes swept through to continue its work in reshaping them

About the Artist

Aaron is a landscape photographer whose work reflects a deep love for wild places and public lands. Born and raised in Estes Park, Colorado - known as the gateway to Rocky Mountain National Park - the outdoors are his second home. Inspired by the quiet beauty of nature and the shifting play of light, he captures moments that invite viewers to pause, reflect, and feel connected to the world beyond their everyday.
