Spring is one of my favorite seasons for a lot of reasons, but the main one is all of the flowers. In the six plus years of living in SoCal I waited until the last year to visit Anza-Borrego - save the best for last, right? I woke up at one thirty in the morning to dive out to the desert for two reasons - to shoot the milky way before it set, and to shoot the wildflowers at sunrise. After checking the first thing off my list I got set up in a field of flowers and waited for the sunrise. Seeing the rays of light breaking behind the hill and painting the clouds to match the flowers was been one of the most memorable experiences behind my camera I've ever experienced

About the Artist

Aaron is a landscape photographer whose work reflects a deep love for wild places and public lands. Born and raised in Estes Park, Colorado - known as the gateway to Rocky Mountain National Park - the outdoors are his second home. Inspired by the quiet beauty of nature and the shifting play of light, he captures moments that invite viewers to pause, reflect, and feel connected to the world beyond their everyday.
