Description
This painting was created en plein air or on location from Baldwin Beach on the south shore of Lake Tahoe, completed in a single sitting toward the end of last summer. I set up my easel just before the park closed and worked quickly to capture the last
light as it moved across the wetlands. The golden glow of the yellow bushes just before sunset became the key element of the piece.
I was able to capture the atmosphere of the distant mountains, along with a bird flying off in the distance. which add a sense of depth and quiet movement to the scene.
The painting was done on linen mounted on board for convient transport and is sold unframed, allowing collectores to shoose a frame that best suits their personal style and environment.
