Description
This painting was created on locatoin on the south shore of Lake Tahoe near Falling Leaf Lake, painted en plein air during the late summer months when the aspen leaves were just begining to take on their golden glow.
I set up my easel and completed the piece in under two hours as the sun was setting-a time I find ideal for painting, when the light is at its warmest and most luminous.
I often choose to paint during the last two hours of the day or the first two hours after sunrise, when the changing light brings depth and atmosphere to the landscape.
The finished painting was transported back to my vehicle in a carrying case designed for wet paintings.
This artwork is sole unframed allowing collectors to choose framing that best suits their individual style and home decor.
