This painting was created on location, en plein air, outside of Estes Park, Colorado suring the Estes Park Plein Air Competition.
I 'm especially drawn to painting water-lakes framed by mountains-and this well-known location. with its breathtaking scenery and easy trail along the lake, offering endless inspiration.
I completed the piece in under two hours, battling strong winds and securing my easy to keep it steady.
As I worked, hikers passed by along the trail, many stopped to watch and offer encouraging compliments when the painting was finished. I transport my work in a carring case designed for wet paintings
allowing me to paint efficiently on site.
All of my paintings are sold unframed, giving collectors the freedom to choose a frame that best complements their homr or office.
