Description
From the summit of Chiefs Head Peak, the last light of the day illuminates three of the highest peaks in Rocky; Longs Peak, Mt Meeker, and Pagoda Peak:
The third highest in Rocky Mountain National Park—the world feels vast, silent, and eternal. As the sun dips toward the horizon, light of day stretches low and igniting the summits with a fleeting, fiery glow.
The wind is cold and thin, but the view is overwhelming—wild, raw, and humbling. There are no trails here, no signs of civilization—just light, stone, and sky. It's moments like this that draw me back to the high places: not just for the image, but for the feeling that, if only for a breath, you’ve stepped into something timeless.
