Description

Illustrates dolphins, sea turtles, and angelfish, highlighting the threats posed by pollution and overfishing to marine life.

When I was in Florida and saw these great bottle nose Dolphin riding the waves. It inspired me to compose a painting showing how the Dolphins, Sea Turtle, and Angelfish interact with each other at sea. Unfortunately, the sea turtle has died in a trap from the result of man. The trash on the surface of the ocean is a threat to the Dolphins; the Angelfish and the Sea Turtle all seem to sense that man has a destructive streak to them.

Dolphins are among the most beloved marine creatures, known for their intelligence, playful nature, and complex social structures. However, the pressures from human activities, such as overfishing, pollution, and habitat destruction, are putting dolphin populations at risk.

Species that are the most threatened by overfishing are sharks, Bluefin tuna, monkfish, and the Atlantic halibut. Other mammals that are not as commonly associated with the seafood industry, such as whales and dolphins are also at risk.
